Hey, so first of all...hello! While I adore Hamtaro and all, I'm not 100% sure how active on this forum I can be, so I've decided to post an introduction at a later date if I think I can commit to sticking around. I hope that's okay! ^^
Secondly, and one of the main reasons I've been wandering around this fandom recently is...I'm curious about a song I heard in a couple of the English dubbed episodes. It's a background song that plays, and the two places I can think of where it plays are:
-In the episode, Farewell Bijou, during the time where the Ham-hams all go to her house to look at it after she's gone. -In the episode, The Precious Letter, during the moment Laura rushes out to send a letter, then goes through some old memories.
It's a very beautiful piano tune that has stayed with me since I first watched Hamtaro many years ago as a kid, and recently I keep hearing it in the back of my mind again. It's just so nostalgic and beautiful, and I was wondering if anyone knows whether that song is available to listen to anywhere online. And where I could find it, if so. Obviously in the shows, it's kinda interrupted by the characters talking, but I would love to find the song on its' own somewhere.
Ham-Ham Paradise has all sorts of amazing Hamtaro goodies that were like gold to me to find, and I thought if anybody knew where this song might be, or if it even has a name, perhaps somebody here would. I've been unable to find it and I'm starting to wonder if it even exists outside of these scenes.
Does anybody know what I could do? Sorry for the random appearance, and the odd question, but I don't know what else I can do to find that song. xD I would love help on this! Thanks in advance, and sorry if this doesn't belong here...I wasn't sure where to put this. :\
---
EDIT: Also, I'm unsure if this requires another whole thread at the moment, but there's one other random request I have...
Since you guys are likely more familiar with the Japanese version of Hamtaro, and what other characters are exclusive to the Japanese episodes...does anybody think they could tell me the name of some Hamtaro figures I've collected, if I post pictures? I got a whole bunch when I was a kid, and I don't know most of them, and after doing some research I was able to find the names of a few. But there's still some I can't identify. I can supply the pictures if anyone would be interested in helping me with that...let me know! ^^

I don't know if that song has a name, but I think Maria might play it on her piano.
We could probably help with the names of the Hamtaro figurines. Go ahead and post the pictures.

Hmm. She might, though I don't think she was playing it in the scene I spoke of, since they had supposedly left during that scene. EDIT: I double-checked, and the song Maria played was very similar...it MIGHT be a different part of the same song, but I'm actually not sure if it is the same or not. It sounds different than the other song. And okay! xD So I'll show the pictures, and the names I DO know. I'd like confirmation if I have the right names on those ones too, if it's okay! ^^ Let's see... 1 - No Name 2 - Nun-Ham 3 - Ninham 4 - Blue Ninja Ham 5 - Yellow Ninja Ham 6 - Red Ninja Ham (might have to hit F5 to see the name change in the pic) 7 - Gray Ninja Ham 8 - Tomy-T 9 - Eggy-P 10 - The Professer 11 - Oshare (Different hat color, but maybe the same Ham-ham?) 12 - Chef Ham 13 & 14 - Babies, with no names. 15 - Chef Ham again. I only need help with the two on the right.
-Ook-Ook (is it possible, despite the face being white instead of red? I mean, is there any other monkey ham? xD) -Championi1 - No Name 2 - No Name 3 - Bear (even though he's a green color, could he be?) 4 - Seamore 5 - Otome (Otome has green hair...could this be another wonky color, or is there actually a Ham-ham with pink hair like this?) 6 - No Name 7 - Flora 8 - Ice 9 - Seedric 10 - Lion 11 - Drizzle 12 - Radar 13 - No Name 14 - Dr. Peanut 15 - No Name (at first glance he looks like Hamtaro, but his markings are different) 16 - Postie 17 - Hannah If you guys need a better description or pics on these guys, I can get better pictures. I really appreciate the help!

CatCreature. In the first picture after Nin-Ham... 4. Blue Ninja Ham 5. Yellow Ninja Ham 6. Orange Ninja Ham 7. Gray Ninja Ham ^ These characters appear in Adventures in Ham-Ham Land. After Eggy-P... 10. The Professor from Ham-Ham Land's University. After the first Chef-Ham... 13 and 14. These two are probably two of his kids. They have no names, but they appear in an English episode (I can't remember which). By the way, Chef-Ham has a lot of kids (about 10, I think). Second picture... The last two: Yep-P. You've got them right. Those are Ook-ook and Championi. Ook-ook's colour is more like the inside of a grapefruit rather than red or white. I've got nothing to say about the third picture. However if you want more information, there's a channel in YouTube that has a lot of cool Hamtaro stuff (including AMVs, figurine and toy collections, and drawings). Search up Kristopher Walker on YouTube (his channel should be the one with the picture of Hamtaro wearing a green messenger bag).

Thanks for the help! I added in your names, so now we have less to look for. Well, whatever you call Ook-Ook's face color, it doesn't look the same as the figure...that's the point I was trying to make. xD But considering we have some mis-colored Hams here as it is, I'm guessing that's normal.
I'll check out that Youtube channel tomorrow, but only a couple videos look like they'd be any help. Thanks again though!

By the way, when you check Kristopher's channel, look at his playlists, and there should be one called "Hamtaro Stuff".
Additional characters... First Picture: 1. This hamster has no official name. People give him whatever name they want. 2. Nun-Ham. She doesn't appear in the anime, but she does in the manga. 11. Oshare with a rather pink (instead of straw-coloured) hat. Her hat's bow shouldn't be polka-dotted and red, it should be solid pink. (I haven't seen her in action; I've only seen pictures). <-- She looks more like this. 13 and 14. Two of Chef-Ham's kids. I think they appear in a number of Japanese episodes as well. <-- The full set of Chef-Ham's kids, as seen in the anime. Third Picture: 2. Bear. He's supposed to be dark brown. 3. Seamore. His right ear (the one beside Bear) should have the same colour as the marking on his head. And his marking's colour should look similar to Maxwell's. <-- He looks like this. 5. Otome. Should have green hair, like you mentioned. 1, 2, 6, 13, and 15. These hamsters have no official names. People give them whatever name they want.

Thanks for the help! I'm aware of Oshare, Bear, Seamore and Otome's 'true' colors, like I mentioned in my post. But also like I said, I see no other Ham-hams they could possibly be, so I'm assuming the figures are miscolored, but are in fact these characters. I've got a bunch of Pokemon figures as well, which are easier to identify, yet there's still some random colored variations. xD I honestly don't know who is coloring figures like this, but it seems a common thing. I do appreciate the pictures and the help though! <3 Also, I didn't even consider a Hamtaro manga...or that some of these guys literally have no name. That's a bit frustrating some come with no name...I'm such a perfectionist that this will bother me, haha! I'll update my images with their names so I don't forget! Looks like all I need now is info on that song, but it's looking pretty grim. xD Thanks again you guys, I really really appreciate this a ton! These lack of names have bugged me since I was a child. xDD EDIT: AHA At about 3:58 in this video, he puts down the stuff he was showing off, then turns the camera around to a group of figures outside their packaging...AND REFERS TO THEM AS KNOCK-OFFS. Most of those are exactly what I have, such as the green Bear! But I have almost all of those. Why did I not even consider knock-offs? xP Stupid of me. That makes sense then, why they're different colors. AND different textures!! The original Hamtaro toys had a sort of rubbery feel, but all these guys are smooth and harder. He also mentions how some of these guys that are close (such as Flora/Nurse Ham) are still different looking, in the sense that the knock-offs have LIGHTER coloring. Which mine do! This clears up so much!

CatCreature. One more thing: Lion should be white/cream, not brown.

^ Thanks, I know. I already said a few times though that these guys aren't colored correctly. I'm going off the closest I can find to how they should be.

About the piano tune, it's the song that Maria plays both on-screen and off-screen. This tune is heard - of the places I know - in Episodes 36, 55 (this is when Laura and Maria first meet), 89, and the episode of Mimi's second birthday. It is heard in a number of other episodes as well, the names of which I couldn't remember. It's normally played in flashbacks or when characters are feeling really sad.

Yeah, I never knew if it was the same song Maria played or not, since when you see her playing the piano, the song sounds different. Like I said, it could either be a different part of the same song or a different song altogether.
Either way, it doesn't help me find the song. :\ Do you know if the English Dub soundtrack was ever even released, or something? I'm doubting I'll find the full version of this song more and more. xD

I made a mistake: Orange Ninja Ham is supposed to be Red Ninja Ham. Figurine colour error. Sorry about that. By the way, I post trivia (mostly about minor details in Hamtaro), quotes, and some historical dates on my status bar.

CatCreature. I listened to Maria's piano concert in Episode 55: "Laura is Really Gone". She plays the longer version of the song you wrote about in this episode, even though there is a bit of a cut-off. Unfortunately, I don't know if they ever released a soundtrack for the English adaptation.

^ Aack. I totally could have double-checked Red Ninja Ham's name before I wrote it on the pic too. Thanks for letting me know! I'll fix it! Miscolored figures USUALLY aren't too big a problem, but I guess for the Ninja Hams, it is a bigger issue, haha. xDD You mean around 10:15 in the video, that song? Hmm. Are you POSITIVE it's the same song? Because I'm not 100% sure... See, that's what I was trying to explain to you guys before. Take a look: The song Maria plays, RIGHT after the Hamtaro Opening Theme...that's the same song she's playing in the video you linked me too. That's the song that I'm not too sure about. I don't think it's the same one as what I'm looking for, unless it's a completely different part of the song...or a different variation of the song altogether, as I only ever hear this piece when Maria plays it...never as background music. Now, if you skip ahead to 15:47 and listen to the background music...which Maria isn't playing...that's the exact song I'm looking for. It's different from the one in your video, and the one I mentioned in the paragraph above. (since those two are the same) Again though, I could be wrong, it could be a different part of the song, but it's starting to seem unlikely since only Maria plays that other part, and I only hear this part as background music. Does that help at all? xD I'm sorry if I'm being confusing.

Two different variations of the same song. I think Maria plays it faster and in a different manner on-screen, and I think the slower, off-screen/flashback version is played by a flute and piano duet, not Maria. Or an alternate explanation would be, in the piano concert, Maria plays two or three different songs, and one of them is the song you wrote about.

Hmm, well either way, the background variation (or whatever we'd like to call it xDD), rather than what Maria plays, is what I'm looking for. xD

CatCreature, have you managed to colour-correct your "knock-off" figures? Kristopher colour-corrected his "knock-offs" by re-painting them the right colour. He talked about it on YouTube. "Knock-offs" are quite noticeable, because they have the wrong colours, poor construction, weird eyes... I have no Hamtaro-related toys, whatsoever, but Kristopher's vids are very informative when it comes to identification and corrections. Oh yeah! I went to the Philippines last March and my sister showed me a Hamtaro bathing suit at a roadside store in Palawan. It had a couple of mistakes, so it's a "knock-off". But, still, Hamtaro products are so rare nowadays, that bathing suit would be considered a relic.
